Hamsher: Dems Co-opting Occupy Wall St.

The Occupy Wall St. movement has now sprung up in cities across the US, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston and Columbus, Ohio. In Canada, protests are being planned for later this month in Toronto. And Anonymous, the hacktivist collective continues to show its support, calling this, our Tahrir Square. While the numbers may still be small outside of New York, the Anonymous video claims that Occupy Wall Street is already in 30 US cities. At this point, it seems clear that these protests can no longer be ignored. But how much more is it going to take, to see real change come because of it? Alyona Talks to the founder of Fire Dog Lake, Jane Hamsher.

Protesters should focus on changing this

Its all government workers that should be the protested

With way to high of pensions , Milking the hard worker

Mayors, who borrow money for the city, Then have to Jack up property taxes ..

The cop that calls in sick,so his cop buddy in called in to work at time and a half.

Then the cop that was getting time and a half calls in sick so they can return the favor.

This happens with nurses and fire dept,And the 100's of city workers leaning on there shovels.

@Faylien64 And not only are there over 100 cities, but there are events scheduled in over 1200 that will take place over the next days/weeks. It's absolutely absurd that this information needs to be given out in this context at all. A true tribute to the failure of the MSM. Thousands protesting across the world, and still the vast majority who don't take the time to investigate are sadly uninformed.

Surely, the common people around the world have been jewed enough to bring about real change. How can a fraction of one per cent (banksters/ Wall Street Gangsters and other money grubbers) subvert and pervert the world monetary systems and impose financial fraud upon all the common people? THE CHANGE SHOULD BE THE REPLACEMENT OF ALL CURRENT OFFICE HOLDERS. The politicians were a part of the scam. A clean sweep of all current politicians is the change "WE CAN LIVE WITH". Thank you for putting this idea out there. It's fine if the unions want to join the movement; not usurp the movement. If the people just get pulled into the democratic party like MoveOn.org is very transparently trying to do then we will just have more of the same and we kick the can down the road to have to do this again. There was protesting on Wall St. back in '08 and it was stopped because we elected Obama to change things. He didn't do a damn thing and now people are back on the streets.

Will the "Occupy Wall Street Movement" turn into an "Occupy America" movement as the two headed beast (ass/elephant duo) continue to screw the 99 per cent of Americans. The ass part (demoncrat) is as guilty as the other half of the beast, the repugnants.The whole beast must be held accountable and voted out of existence. The betrayal of the people and America has been too great for either half of the beast to remain in power. Vote all the current bums out of office and into unemployment lines.
