Leviticus 18:20 "Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife and defile yourself with her."

  • @quemacha Satanic? I doubt it. More likely a deeply flawed man who probably started out well intentioned, and was corrupted by power, a common theme in man. King David murdered, among other sin, yet God favored him. Like many, your focus is on condemning the unconventional sexual behavior of this group, which is fashionable these days. I'm more struck by the physical and psychological abuse, as related by Merry and others.

  • @juslookin3

David Berg was lustful. Sarah Berg, Deborah Davis, Faith Berg, Merry Berg, Joyanne Treadwell Berg, Davida Kelley and Amy Bril claimed that David Berg molested them, and his own writings promote incest and pedophilia. Since anyone can claim to be a prophet these days, I hereby prophesy that David Berg was a child-abusing false prophet from Satan.

  • @quemacha Deut. 17:17 doesn't forbid polygamy; the word is "multiply," which means "many." Solomon had more wives than any man could handle. Hundreds seems absurd, but his polygamy itself wasn't condemned. Don't forget David, who had many wives--without God's disapproval--but whose chief sin was having Uriah killed to get Bathsheba.

Fornication is the fruit of lust. The Law of Love is not about lust. It guides the godly in expressing love among the family of man.

As for premarital sex, "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is without the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body." (1 Cor. 6:18)

"but fornicators and adulterers God will judge." (Heb 13:4.)

"Neither let us commit fornication..." (1Cor 10:8)

"It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife."

    (1 Cor 5:1)

God forbade Israel's kings to be polygamous in Deut. 17:17. Solomon’s hundreds of wives helped lead him to idolatry. Abraham and Sarah brought Hagar in because of a moment of weak faith, and the result was a disaster. The New Testament clearly states that bishops must be the husband of one wife.

  • @quemacha Of course that verse says "two as one," what other number would it choose to make an example? Anyway, you're choosing one verse to make your case when the Holy Bible has numerous mentions of polygamous marriage of the patriarchs without disapproval.

    Regarding homosexuality, why ask?

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

  • @juslookin3

Of course, the Biblical ideal is monogamous marriage - the TWO shall be made one flesh. Not the three, four or five shall be made one flesh. By the way, does your idea of love allow for homosexuality? If not, why not?

  • @quemacha Yes, that is why when the men of the church are sharing, they should imagine that they are being made love to by Jesus, as His bride. By the way, does the Holy Bible command marriage to only one? We are made by God as loving beings, to love all of our brother and sisters, but man tries to stifle this and change love into hate.

  • @juslookin3

Eph. 5:31-32: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.” Sex outside of marriage is wrong because marriage is a shadow that symbolizes Christ's relationship to His bride, the church.
