Wrigley Field PA Announcer Audition

My name is Joe McLaughlin and I want to be the next PA Announcer for The Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field.

I have always loved the game of baseball; moreover, I love the soundtrack to the game. Every day when I would get home from school, I would turn on WGN and listen to Harry Carey. Every night when I went to bed, I would have my radio dialed to KMOX, tucked underneath my pillow, and fall asleep listening to Jack Buck. It was these voices, and others, that made me a baseball fan and inspired me to follow in their footsteps.

Although I grew up in St. Louis as a Cardinals fan, I have always held a deep love and respect for the Cubs, their fans, and the organization. The love and dedication held by all involved with this ballclub is something I have always and will always admire.

In summation, I hope you all enjoy my audition just as much I as I enjoyed doing it. Any and all comments and criticisms are welcome. Hopefully, you'll be hearing my voice again very soon. And I wish all of the best and good luck to all of the other applicants!
