The story of Sadako Sasaki, the little girl that died following the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and her Cranes, is told by Jo Wharton.
Sadako died ten years after the bomb was dropped of complications from the radiation exposure. Before she died she was told of an ancient Japanese legend that if you fold a thousand cranes you will have a long life. She did not make it.

Sadako has become the inspiration and symbol of Peace for generations then, now and yet to come!

  • Can I just say this is one of the most moving videos I've ever watched. I couldn't get through this without crying. Thank you very much for this deeply touching tribute to the innocents that died on that horrible day. God be with you all in your quest to keep the peace in the world.
