Tonight, he sings with the angels, around the throne of God. I imagine the angels stopping to listen as he offers his praise to the one he loved most. I will miss you terribly, my dear cousin. Rest in HIS love!

Someone asked who the background voices were on this song. They were, Odessa McCastle, Roger Roberts and James Page..who sang with us for just a short while.Rev. Cleveland is playing the piano and Herman Stevens is on the organ. It was a one take recording as most of the songs recorded by Savoy then were.Min. Gene Viale/Cleveland Singer 64-65 Bless you for asking.

It's been many, many, many years since I have heard this. I have the LP but no turntable-you know the story. Anyway back in the day I always wondered who was singing this the voice was remarkable, even from a child I thought so. Glad to find out who it is -Gene Viale. I am also interested in the book and will try and get it. Thanks for posting this-just execellent!!! AND thanks for your gift Min. Viale.

This is so nice to hear. I rememeber as a girl hearing Gene Viale sing. They
would always plays him every sunday morning in the bay area without fail. I've
always thought he has such a beautiful voice(and he still does) so annointed
This brougt back some wonderful memories 4 me.!!! Gene has that kind of
churchy voice that makes u want to praise the lord. Excellent singer!!!! God Bless
