A decent look at 43110 over the past few years of her life, showing her in/around the local area and the variety of other power cars she's been coupled to during this time.

Looking back we see her coupled to:
- 43038,
- 43051,
- 43096,
- 43108,
- 43111,
- 43115,
- 43238,
- 43296,
- 43300,
most of which are now MTU-fitted themselves; indeed some appear in that list in both 'formats'.

Sincere thanks to anyone and everyone who donated any material, be it pictures or videos, to this good cause; I hope no offence is taken by choosing only to use my own pictures & videos; I did never realise how much material I myself had.

The observant amongst you may well notice this is my 310th video; this was VERY intentional!!

I will conclude this look at surely the best 'Valenta'-engined Power Car in existance (the ex-MML ones, and those with GC & Network Rail are officially 'dogs') with a quote from Kiyran Burke of SEG:
"43310: coming to a station near you" [and boy, can't we wait!!]

EDIT: Contrary to the credits, thanks and apologies to Kiyran Burke for the picture of 43238 at Northallerton, which precedes the video of said train at said location, which is actually mine!!

  • Nice vid. A truly Hellfire powercar, rest in peace. Still 43310 is gd, i rode the beast from leeds to edinbrugh and back later that day :D. Fantastic vid 5* and faved. btw, whats that noise at 1:28?

  • Thanks!! 43310 is seriously nice...that noise, accompanied by 'Inspector Sands' basically means that a fire-alarm has been activated in a 'public' area of the station, so will a member of staff check it out before everyone is evacuated

  • do they still make hst

  • You mean, building new powercars?

No, out of production 30yrs ago nearly

i cabbed 252001 in 1976 .we hated them on the western reigon .because they along with the 400s .robbed us of the proper power .class 52 .but 34 years is a long time .and in reality the german engines now power class 1 passenger trains again .

  • Danke Schön!!

  • Total Höllenfeuer! :D 5*

  • I dunno...the livery's not that bad, it's just boring, but the name has brought the ECML into disrepute :(
