Eclipse is a very impressive horror game built in the RPG Maker VX Engine, that is based primarily on the trials and tribulations of the two main protagonists; Kelvin Bishop, and Andrea Frost. In order to find out the full story, you have to complete the story with both protagonists, which is very reminiscent of some of my favorite games in; Silent Hill, and Resident Evil.
The game was created by a user known as "Hexagon", who used the RPG Maker VX engine to create a very immersive game that draws you into it's very well designed horror atmosphere. Hexagon admits that Silent Hill was the main inspiration from the game, and wither I'm right or wrong - I feel that there are many Resident Evil inspirations as well, then again the games are fairly similar, so it could be that I'm just forgetting some details about SH.
The game was able to scare me like no Resident Evil game has for awhile, and the same goes towards Silent Hill - the game was able to surprise me from taking it's less impressive engine to create a very impressive game.
The visuals were very very impressive, and were the first thing I noticed, but over all; the sounds, the pacing, the visuals, the gameplay - they all work together to create one amazing horror experience that really impressed me since it came from the XV engine, and from someone who isn't really a game designer.
Hexagon him/herself gets huge praise for this game, and I officially give this the title of; Most Impressive Horror Game (Web/Flash/PC based) of 2010!
Rating: 8.5 / 10
JCRB (Jamesis Content Rating Board): Teen's + (15 and Up)
Recommendation: This game is for Horror Fans, Resi fans, and SH Fans for sure! But really, I'd recommend it to anyone over the age of 13 - looking for a fun, spooky, and overall fun game to play!

A good horror game for VX, yet I was never really "scared", especially at 12 in the morning. I don't think I caught on to the story much... :P

@PKPwnr Yeah, it doesn't seem overly scary the more I think of it, but I can honestly say this had my heart beat go up more than Silent Hill or Resident Evil - I wasn't really expecting much at all from this, and it's probably what lead to a more dramatic effect than games I did expect it from - I'm not quite sure!
I don't think the story is overly original, it seems to heavily combine features from Silent Hill (cult, demon, ritual, perfect body, etc from early on in Andrea's story)

@PKPwnr (Continued) and Resident Evil (more obviously Kelvin's side which could also be linked to Silent Hill 4: The Room) the gameplay, plot, and setting are more obviously derived from these sources - but are presented with a sense of originality (to me) probably from being combined rather then separated.
Great game, that's the most undeniable part here XD

@jamesis1980 I agree with all of that. But I gotta say, it was the best horror genre VX game I've played. =)
