On September 11, 2011 at the League City drill field more than 40 firefighters and first responders from across the county climbed the equivalent of 110 flights of stairs — the height of the World Trade Center towers — to honor firefighters and first responders killed in New York City.

Firefighters from League City, Seabrook, Friendswood, Dickinson, Nassau Bay, Houston FD, and other depts took part in this event. Along with Police officers from around the area and students from College of the Mainland's fire, police, and EMS programs.

The opening words by Tory Williams a League City firefighter and paramedic were used as the audio backdrop for this video.

Kole Vallatini a Dickinson firefighter started this event 6 years ago. Over the years it has grown from just a few people to over 60 participants and support personnel.

David Followell shot and produced the video.
Music: The Ecstacy of gold and The Trio - The late Ennio Morricone

If I missed any groups that were there. Send me a message and I will update the video info.
