4500 Joule Capacitor Bank - Nearly Finished

This is a 5000 volt 4500 Joule capacitor bank, its about 80 percent finished, control box, lid, output cables etc still to make.

yeah neon transformer, only a low voltage one of 5500 volts,higher peak to peak obviously, but dont need to get any higher. Keen to keep about half rated voltage of caps to extend their life and to limit voltage reversal.

Just to create large magnetic fields for various things. I have another video on here of this working but I ended up blowing up a capacitor though, through a combination of them not being the best type available and voltage reversal. I now have a brand new capacitor getting made for me in the USA worth about 10,000 US dollars, rated 11000 volts at 125000 amps. These are special pulse discharge capacitors and are made for this sort of thing.

It is capacitor back, think about it like a giant battery, but the cap. bank is a little different. Were as batteries release their energy slowly this stores a lot of electricity, & let it all out in a fraction of a second! :) if ur a nerd like me this thing is fucking huge & awsome, although I would've liked to see it hooked up 2 a rail gun also.
