Some behind the scenes footage. Notice how race director Jochen Neerpasch spills the beans @ 5:45 and gives a clue to Mercedes' future involvement in Formula One. Altough I don't know if it was public knowledge at the time, the commentator certainly seems surprised. And look who's there too: Michael Schumacher

  • F1 also had flat bottom in 90.

  • @dojOdRiFTeR how do you figure? he just repeated what he said

  • @K1ll3rM4st3r that actually makes sense

  • @jaxpower1 rofl revolutions per minute a minute

  • Another translation/terminology fail (around 3:40), describing the Group C cars as flat bottomed when comparing to F1. The C11 had rather large tunnels that started just aft of the trailing edge of the tub. And while the regulations did mandate a minimum flat bottom area ahead of the tunnels (effectively the plan form of the monocoque), it would naturally be disingenuous to call them flat bottomed.

  • stig?

  • Nicest race car ever built!!
