First off nobody has to prove that God doesn't exist, any more then they have to prove the tooth fairy or Santa Claus don't exist. That's not how it works. The person making the positive claim has to provide the evidence, and so far those that believe in the Christian God (as well as all the other religions) have failed to do so.

Second, your personal "relationship" with God is just with yourself. You compartmentalize problems and call one of the compartments "God". It is all in your head.

They say there is. This theory could be, in fact, totally wrong. There's evidence of various things in the Bible that they say, but you would put those down. See what Im getting at?

I see what you're trying to say, but see, it just baffles me at how scientists and others try to think. They create these theories completely founded on imagination, such as the Big Bang Theory, and yet they dissaprove of someone's belief in God.

This is what I just don't seem to understand. How can you dissapprove of one theory but completely support another, when "supposedly" there's the same amount of evidence for both: NONE!

So that's what I'm trying to get at.

On the santa/tf note, I believe that what he was trying to say is: The sentence "You cannot disprove god" is essentially the same rhetoric as "You cannot disprove Santa Claus or the toothfairy". THis is a way of proving the former sentence useless, since it cannot be used to specifically proving one specificGod
