The phone has been rooted, thanks to the custom ROM, so I have access to do what ever I want (MUHAHAHAH!!). The goal was to keep the design minimal, with a slight use of color. I changed the "select" color for LauncherPro and the "move" color when icons and widgets are selected.
I'm really surprised at how smooth everything runs - especially considering this is a two-year old phone originally clocked at 550MHz - a little more than half the power of current phones!

@Samanathon The Samsung is definitely my target hardware. As Phone Company OS goes, does not matter. Who keeps that one? ;)

@TheReformatThis I think you're going to have an issue there: AT&T doesn't want too much compitition with their #1 selling product. You might want to jump to Big Red if you want a killer Android phone with a network that actually works!
Although, the Samsung Captivate is pretty awesome (it's a "Galaxy" phone) and one of the best Android phones out there - I'm just not sure about AT&T's modifications to the OS as I haven't played with that phone, but the hardware is fantastic!

I'm running Cyanogen on a MyTouch, but on AT&T, so super slow network. Absolutely loving Android, but dying for new hardware now that AT&T has Android available.
