Heart Hospital at UT Medical Center - Knoxville, TN

In 2010, UT Medical Center will be opening the region's first dedicated Heart Hospital, an inpatient facility specializing in the care of the Heart Lung Vascular Institute patient. The new heart hospital will adopt the newest technologies and clinical guidelines to further improve patient quality of care, comfort and satisfaction. Patient room design facilitates bringing the caregiver to the bedside maximizing patient safety and customer service. The intensive care unit, as well as the step-down unit room design, will accommodate 24-hour-a-day stays by family members who will be integrated into the patient care team. The patients family also will benefit from the new hospital family ambassador service and information center.
