There was a time when we had three kinds of service. The 492 fit into a secondary category and was a sort of hybrid service, running stop and go local service before hitting El Monte Station and then riding the busway into Downtown LA. When we launch the Silver Streak in 2007, those secondary lines like the 492 kept their local service and dropped the LA connection. We found that many people were disembarking at El Monte Station to connect with other services.
