  • There is no magic 9mm round. I've tested quite a few and come to this conclusion. Just get yourself some hollowpoints and call it a day. Shot placement is key.

  • @dlstb Hollowpoints are prohibited by the Geneva Convention. They're considered unnecessarily injurious. Kind of a joke when you consider what war is but there you go.

  • This is from a SEAL's mouth.

  • @4everUSNavy Your being unreasonable. There is no reasonable dispute here. A .40 cal has more penetration and better ballistics in any given situation. You cannot realistically dispute this.

The moral of the story, with good shot placement, whats the difference. The 9 will get the job done.

Nevertheless, the .40 is the more powerful round.

  • It's obvious but let me restate the moral of the story..."It's all about shot placement"

  • @federalwarhawk They still spout that BS. But anyone who has hunted before in their life knows that shot placement and bullet type make more of an impact on bullet effectiveness than the weight or caliber alone do. For starters, most states don't allow you to hunt game with FMJ because it will sail right through leaving a small permanent cavity as opposed to a HP which leaves a large permanent cavity. And don't believe the idjut with the clay test because clay =/= flesh.

  • @4everUSNavy I think Fedwarhawk lacks common sense

  • @federalwarhawk you are......not very intelligent to think about your gun jamming off the second round fired. What gun that is in service would have any issues of doing that? I mean come on officers arent using hi points, and neither are our servicemen, so check your self!

  • @ufailhard1 If that were true, the 1911 would have never been a service pistol...

  • Didn't everybody have the same argument, when the military started using the 223 rd?

there were people that said the 22 bullet was too small, and anything less than a 30.06

    was underpowered.
