I am a KSU alum (class of '95), and this is my favorite song from "Hair." There was a production in Fall '94 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of May 4 1970. It was that production that made me fall in love with this song. Your performance made me fall in love with it even more. Thanx for posting it.

I've always loved this song but never considered it that way. Now I feel sad.

Would anyone be able to post the best performance of Frank Mills by Bonjoura somewhere in the late 60's
This song, like any good folk song, tells its story within the song itself so its placement in the show is not so much the important part. Her man, like so many others, has disappeared in the days when a forceful draft was sweeping the nation. This poor little flower child is searching for the boy we as the audience are able to know was sent off to war and is probably already dead...making the seemingly simple song incredibly complex.

This young woman sounds a LOT like Shelley Plimpton. Good job.
