  • Too short.

Love ya Bro, but you could take 30 minutes for these question videos. Just my 2 cents.

    Thumbs up....

  • Thank you so much for replying to my question! I'm so honored =) And quick response too. I wasn't expecting to get an answer within 24 hours! Thanks again for your advice.

  • What nonsense is this? I do my 720P video editing on my 1GHz PowerBook G4 running Final Cut Express 4. I don't bother with 1080P as my EOS 500D only does 1080P @ 24fps.

  • Dave what do you think is the best entry level desktop computer?

  • @12eyseandahalf Yeah, that can be a problem, though nothing's stoppin you from dual booting - hard disk space is dirt cheap these days. A W7 and ubuntu dual boot is great, and i've found myself doin most of my work on ubuntu (saving assignments to pdf), and using w7 for ipod syncing and fps. Still, if you were gonna do that it would prob work out easier for you to clean install windows every year or so... so all I said is a waste of time lol

  • @porterejohn I have thought about doing that but I just don't like the uncompatibility of having a linux computer. But thanks =)

  • Someone has been using Motion 5 to create backgrounds, Dave!

  • when you said chat on i though you said shat on and started laughing

  • Isn't video editing these days handled by the GPU?

  • Your Cartoon is really cool Dave!!!

  • If a person doesn't know much about computers or how to maintain them then dishing out $1,000 for an entry level Mac may be worth it to that person. But for anyone thats tech savvy as well as an educated consumer, pc's are the way to go. And if you're REAL tech savvy, you Hackintosh ; )

  • There is no phenom that is even near 90% of the performance of the i7 2600k.

    Have a look here. cpubenchmark(dot)net/high_end_cpus.html

You'll see while the i7 2600k has a score of 9,938, while the phenom II x6 1100T only scores 6.309.

  • never get a used mac trust me just buy new unless u just use the web but if u video edit just go for new b/c new stuff comes and u now apple

  • @12eyseandahalf Have you looked into ubuntu on a standard computer? The slow down issue isn't present (in a noticable amount), and the value for money is unparalleled.

  • not true for 1200 i can built a eyefinity crossfire game pc. for 600 you can easily make a 1080p video editing gaming pc.

  • ccleaner gets rid of all that stuff from windows

  • @TWTAGaming It depends on the operating system that you want. If you want Mac OS X, get a MacBook Pro, if you don't mind using Windows, Alienware Notebooks are slightly more powerful for the same price.

  • eleventh

  • What would be better for general use but packs a punch when needed a macbook pro or alien notobook.

  • This is a awesome video Dave! You should make these every week! It can be you channel USP. I think this is the best video i have seem from you in a LONG time.

  • ever heard of CCleaner? I think I'd rather have a pc (that I have to manually defrag and clean out the registry every month or two) than a mac that costs 50% more. It takes about 10 mins to perform these maintenance tasks... how long does it take you to make the extra money for the mac?

  • Lol, at 4:48 you actually used the scrollbar... How oldschool! :D

  • @shahrukh10abbas Last to get laid

  • dave, i have an old compaq windows 98 tower pc and i want to sell it and i dont want to put it up on ebay as the shipping would cost a fortune what should i do with it and how much would i get for it. ps: im from ireland:)
