Outland - The Sisters (Final Boss Battle)

The final boss of Outland and definitely the hardest, rightfully so. The first thing to note is that the Warrior will be "spirit lifted" to the bottom of the arena on top of a floating platform. The platforms are divided into two circles: one going clockwise and the other counter clockwise. The Sisters will immediately attack by launching numerous spirt lances that constantly change color, depending on which Sister is attacking, and will continue to shot a barrage of orbs over the entire area. The Dark Sister starts off first, so immediately run to the left and take out the head of the lance. As the Sister's barrage continues to spiral the colors will change as well as the lances. After taking out the lances the Sisters will emerge from their shield.

Phase two will have the outer platforms crumble as the Sisters spawn orbs around themselves. Simply go to the closest sister and attack. If going for Black make sure white orbs are active, vice versa. With the Sword of the Gods it will take 5 hits but without the blade it will take 10 hits for each sister to phase out. After they're both incapacitated the Sisters will enter Phase 3.

Phase 3 resembles the first but this time the Spirit Lances are both in the inner and outer areas with a continuous barrage of orbs attacking rotating around. This is where having full energy bars becomes a must. Most in between a cluster of lances and activate the Energy Shield, this will absorb the orbs and preform an area attack that will one shot each lance within range. If the lance is not in plain view it will not be hit, even if it is close. Do this with each cluster as quickly as possible to enter phase 4.

Phase 4 will have the Sisters emerge once more but without a constant spinning of smaller Red and Blue orbs. The idea remains the same when attacking the Sisters, simply remain cautious of the oncoming opposite color orb. Once each Sister is down the final phase will begin.

The Final Phase has to be the most chaotic. The Sisters will launch the same Spirit Lances from Phase 3 but this time there will be a constant stream of lined orb attacks with different colors constantly attacking. This is where fast movements and Energy Shield are needed most. Wherever the warrior is, immediately use the Energy Shield to remove any close by lances and continue to each corner. Using the Energy Shield will give a small window to run to the next section and destroy any close by lances. If the Warrior has no energy left then the final phase will be a test of patience: slow and steady while keeping tracking of which color is attacking. If movements are too fast it will result in a quick death.

Notes: The warrior here is using the Sword of the Gods which is unlocked after collecting all 42 Mark of the Gods. The blade doubles the warriors attack thus making the Sister Fight far quicker.

The warrior also has max health upgrades and max energy upgrades. If the Sisters prove far too challenging, go back to previous areas and go back to areas that were not reachable to access upgrades and marks.

Fucking Christ. You have max health, max damage, and max magic and you defeated them with 1 health left. My current checkpoint (right before the fight) I have 8 hearts 5 magic (all empty) and the regular weapon. I'm not sure I want to go back and find all the stuff. I enjoyed the game up until this part, but I'm not sure I have it in me to grind this boss.

@MuseManMike Haha, I made some stupid mistakes in the video. When the Sisters throw up the constant orb shield I didn't switch forms and got hit twice, I jumped off to hit the Launch Pad but ended up tapping A too soon. :P I play with a dislocated wrist so things are harder for me but they can be beaten without all the upgrades. Just be sure to go in with full Energy Bars and you'll be fine; Energy Shield is meant for this fight. : )

Yeah, I know, it's very vague. Never mind - I just found the 11th heart.

What I can't find is the Mark of the Gods in the *Sky - Dark Fortress* area and I don't know how to enter the hidden rooms containing Money Vases in *City - The Maze* and *City - Forgotten Quarter*. The vases appear on my maps but it appears to be impossible to enter these rooms.

@CellOmega City - The Forgotten Quarters, port to that area and go right. There will be a Jump Pad. Jump off the wall to reach the pad to launch yourself up and there you'll fight a few enemies and reach those money jars. As for the mark of the gods, I only remember one location. At the beginning there are sets of colored beams shooting with three launch pads that you have to cross. When you reach the second pad go up instead of right and you'll be launched in a hidden chamber with a mark.

@CellOmega Hm, that's quite vague. Teleporting around and seeing which areas have hearts.

it took me 3 friggin days to finally beat this boss...and man it was so rewarding...reminds me of the days of snes trying to be an impossible boss for a whole week and finally winning...epic 0_0

Just beat them with 6 hearts and 6 energy. I couldnt find the heart upgrades so i figured I'd just roll with it.... well... rolling with it is very hard... :D

What saved me was to get myself to 2 hp, shoot and kill 8 or so lasers so they all drop hearts, and then pick up the powerups. Beat the game with 4 left. Didnt use the energy to explode myself, which seems to be a far better way of doing it. I used 4 beams to kill off the bosses in the final phase.

Thankfully there's a teleportation thing unlike the previous bosses, so if you're not ready you can go back and try to find some more upgrades.

I had 12 hearts and 7 energy, I did it on my 10th go I think

i didnt hav the sword of the gods but i dont think is necessary, and findiing the last 3 marks was a real pain but what i didnt know was that energy shield move on phase 3!! I had never really used it before so ddint know what it did!! so I saved all my yellow energy and shot the strings using my laser beam......I think the bit after that was easy..but man I could have made it alot easier for myself if I knew that shield move!!

@MuseManMike It's easy to figure out all of the patterns and the best places to stand so you won't get hit for the first two waves, but it does get intense, so I personally also beat them with one health as well, though with less stuff. You'll die on them a few times sure, and maybe even get annoyed, but in the end, you'll beat 'em. My hands started to sweat every time I got close to beating her, but overall it's not too hard. Plus, you get health from them as well.

Man, It's hard to appreciate just how gorgeous this game is when you're fighting. Looking at it now, i looks even more friggin awesome.
