In this last tune of this set of five clips from the Swedish band "Paul and his Gang" we see and listen to a tune which originated in the earlier period of Bix Beiderbecke's recording career. Susie was recorded by the Wolverines in 1924
In 2000 Paul Strandberg and his band were the headliners in a tribute to Bix at Kenosha near Chicago They also performed at Bix Jazz Festival in Davenport
Paul and his Gang are from Malmo, Sweden and this track was filmed in 2003
Paul Strandberg plays trumpet, Dymitr Markiewicz is on trombone, Lars-Erik Ström plays the Frankie Trumbauer verse on the alto sax and in the rhythm section are Dennis Johnsson on banjo, Jonas Eilert on sousaphone and Marie-Christine « Kiki » Desplat from Paris on piano.
