Sonia Manzano is a wonderful legend, and so deserving of the honor to be called a legend at such a young age. I grew up watching Maria and the entire cast of Sesame Street, and I have to say that "Maria" was always my favorite "human" character. I just finished this part of the interview and am so enjoying hearing her tell her story of being on "Sesame Street." Thank you for this wonderful insight into the real person behind the beloved character.

I was about to say the same thing. She is a woman with morals, and is highly intelligent and did not need to go the wrong route to gain success. I think that's why we all admire her a lot. She is the TRUE role model for minorities.

Maria is the best. G0D bless her. I had the same hope as her that Seasame Street could have eliminated racism.
