how am i suppose to practice if my optometrist wont let me take it home to practice. I cant get the prescription until i can show that i can put it in. and it is expensive for an hour class which i already did but i got frustrated. I have sensitive eyes and its really hard

I have a question
im using contacts for a anime con thats coming up, so far i can get the right one in and out with little to no trouble. But i cant seem to get the left contact in. I dont know if its my eye lashes or not ( they are kinda long for some reason ) it also keeps flipping inside out whenever it touches my eye.
any hits for getting it in?
