@MrGeorgefoord yes she did. She held Henry off for seven years, and finally gave into him just before he broke with the church in Rome. Which was BEFORE the Pope's decision came down in favor of Catherine. Anne was pregnant when she married Henry.

@DrawnToTheFlame13 Actually, Anne did request the executioner of Calais and death by the sword. Otherwise, she would have died by the axe, per Henry's decision. She was either to be burned or beheaded, per the king's pleasure.

She does not haunt the castle. Her spirit stayed around to watch over Elizabeth. This story of Anne (and quite a few others) are told for entertainment value, as she has became a pretty big part of pop culture. Trust me I should know :)

@thebackgroundartiste Yes, she was originally slated to be burned. A very common theme of execution for those accused of witchcraft. Beheading was said to be that given to a man of high regard. Anne was one of the first known woman to be beheaded in England (atleast credibly recorded) Anne requested a swift death and Henry granted.

This is so wrong. Anne did not request to be executed by a sword, Henry ordered her to be executed like that! RIP, Queen Anne Boleyn, and her daughter Queen Elizabeth Tudor, the best Queen's of England we have ever had.
