If you like Eagles, like we do, you might like this video.

While most people only see a few Eagles in their life time...once a year, here in our state, during the months of January and February, many species of Eagles congregate in this area just 10 minutes from our home. They come from Canada and as far away as Alaska to feed where the winter is milder. They stay for just 2 months then fly back North to their nesting grounds.

This video is 2 days worth of Bald Eagle watching...which we captured almost every aspect of their life from flying, feeding, landing, taking off, ect....

First day we saw maybe 20 Eagles. Second day up to 100!

Sorry for the quality of the pictures and video. The Bald Eagles were pretty far away :(

  • @DistractionCascade Seen Goldens but never Balds. Lived here for 28 years and never knew this happened on an annual basis...flying thousands of miles to winter and for easy feeding on water fowl and fish. Just wish I had better equipment to get closer photo shots and clarity...someday (sigh)...lol. Feel lucky to have seen them though. I just reviewed my clips and counted 16 on the ice in that clip alone!

  • good tracking. We have Bald Eagles in NJ but I can't say I've had the opportunity to see one. But its routine to see other birds of prey, the jack russels think they can catch them!
