  • Excellent!I love this tune.I'll play fiddle along with you.

  • Next time you're in Oxford, I hope you do!

  • I'm starting to notice that you use the C row only on many of your videos. Is that just cause of what key the songs are in?

  • The box is in B/C, so most tunes will be mainly on the C row. This tune doesn't actually need any notes from the B row, and I happen to not use any, (B and E are there in the opposite direction to on the C row) but I think it's actually the only tune I know like that.

  • Hello! I love your playing. I play a triple row A/D/G diatonic box. I too have been considering the purchase of a B/C Irish style accordion. Now that you've played both the D/G melodeon AND the B/C system, which do you prefer? Do you find one more versatile than the other? Which system do you enjoy playing more?

  • part 4:

If you really want a do-everything box maybe a three-row C#/D/G (or F#/G/C (which would be generally lower in pitch, which is good) or B/C/F) would actually be good. There is something nice about the half-step tuning of two rows, and to me it feels better having the "accidental" row on the outside of the fingerboard (like my B/C) compared to the inside (my 2.5 row D/G).

Probably the best thing of all though is to pick a system and stick with it... something I've failed to do!

  • gd playing juyst need to emphasis the beat a bit more sorry for the critism

  • You are excellent! :-)

  • how much does the accordion cost?

  • Sounds excellent. Isn't this tune an old Scottish folk song? Cause I've seen the lyrics for it in Scottish Gaelic, but then again Scottish and Irish Gaelic is virtually the same.

  • Nice...
