Absurd faulty crazy clock

This crazy clock in my office behaves awkwardly. From 0 sec till 30 sec, it moves forward two seconds and gets back one and does this every second. Then it stays still at 30 sec for about 3 sec. Then it starts to go uphill where it goes slowly and slowly.

Bizarre!!

Maybe the second hand is loose or the gears in the mechanism are slack.
