Hell yeah Part 2! Damn it's long. So this video is all about getting good tones for your Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass and Acoustic. I'm not the best at it, but the purpose

of this video is to better prepare you on going about making your own custom tones. Gearbox comes with the Line 6 Pod interfaces along with PodFarm. Try out both and see which one's you like best. I'll throw it up here as soon as I can. Hope this video was helpful! :D

EN ESPANOL?! Thanks again to Ferdk16 for the spainish subtitles!

Also, my apologies on the quality. It totally looked better at first. I BLAME MACS! :p

All music composed and recorded by yours truely, and the full tracks can be heard and downloaded at familyjules7x.bandcamp.com. The tracks I am using for these are from the soundtrack I composed for OSR: Unhinged last summer.

  • Is there some special button to push when you have gearbox open so you can hear your guitar? because I plugged in my Pod X3, opened gearbox, plugged in my guitar and I don't hear shit....any suggestions?

  • @BrownWarrior34 Check the preferences and make sure the monitor level is up.

  • @SirWolfalot I usually just like having the bridge pickup on. I like the crunch it gives. :)

  • Hey! Do you have any tips on making a ska-ish tone? kinda like the one you used in your Goldenrod City cover.

  • @Zevaked94 Watch out for the trebles since if your hitting the higher up chords hard, it's gonna make the tone screechy and unpleasant. Lots of mids. :)

  • my guitar tone has to much picking noise, is there something I can change to fix this

  • @DYLZAL Pull down your bass and mids. That should fix the problem.

  • I don't mean to be a total ass, but you really should get a good tone before giving a tone tutorial.

  • can do you do upload the tutorials to mediafire with spanish subtitles too? for can watch him in other moment @ offline too.

I think it would be a good idea =)

  • IN MY GENITILES? 0_0

  • @FamilyJules7X well I'm still not hearing anything......

  • If you don't own a bass guitar do you think you can get by with just using your guitar's bass notes to record a bass line...if you think so how would you go about making the bass notes on your guitar mimic a bass guitar? please help cause cant afford a bass guitar....and whats the cheapest way to get a drum kit..I hear some people use there guitar hero drums to do the job..any tips will be great..thanks

  • Hmm...I personally agree that in RHYTHM, there's a certain amount of mid and treble you need sometimes, but I personally have found that I need to swap the mid and treb. Just so people know, some amps/guitars are more middy and can have the mid turned down, but remember you need to compensate with more treble sometimes, or even more bass if it's a high-mid based guitar.

  • It might have been asked before, but i´ll ask anyways: What pickup position do you use for rhythm?

    oh and btw: Stay Epic!
