I love the spirited finale. It's like listening to the Lone Ranger and expecting the cavelry but the Gay Men's Chorus come galloping over the hill instead.

La primera vez que oí esta Obertura, hace más de 20 años, me pareció cutre, Con fragmentos en las distintas secciones pegados con pegamento y tan diferentes que no casaban, Debió ser la interpretación que era barata, Ahora en cambio en esta ocasión, suena brillante y todo cuadra,

Great piece. I love the ending!! I think it should be used for relaxation and meditation but it never is.

Lovely music to listen to in a park on a Summer Day, played by an accomplished orchestra, or in the evening as the shaddows lengthen.
