and some normal brutes have fuel rod guns if you play heroic or higher difficulties,in tsavo highway near the second phantom that you see later part

Chieftains have differnt armor. you never see more then 1 at any time.

the brute leaders are the ones with bruteshot (most of the time) and sometimes they have golden armor.

the chieftains have some werid helmet and will ether have a gravity hammer, plasma turret or a Fuel rod gun. way you can tell is throw a plsama grenade at him, if it doesn't stick he is a chieftain.

its not a chieftain , its a captain with the fuel rod

you can stick the chieftain, aim for their weapon, it sticks to that and kills them like a stick would killa normal brute

I love to toy with the grunts. Their halarious especially when they think they killed you and you just show up from behind and assassinate one of them.
