I can break down the lack of skill in boxing, wrestling or any other one dimensional sport like that. Boxers can fight tight with only counters because they don't have to worry about going to ground. Wrestlers only have to worry about grappling. Kickboxers have to worry kicks and punches(more skilled than boxers). Ufc, or mma fighters in general, have to worry about all aspects from all of these fields.

@alexiusmoore since you're apparently speaking of the ufc particularly(you mentioned Dana white) you do realize that the top caliber fighters are experts in their main style, right? Dan Henderson(excellent boxer, great wrestler) Anderson silva(expert muai tai and bjj) george saint-pierre(expert wrestler and kick boxer)

In MMA you can lose a couple big fights and still be a respectable fighter. Boxing is the opposite, if you lose 2-3 big fights you can kiss your career good bye; or at least any pay days. The only to get back is to have a "come back trail" and go through every "tomato can" thrown at you.

MMA maybe more exciting for you, but other peope might not like 2 guys with no skill swingin for the fences and then wrestling on the floor. Fixed fights and corruption is in MMA too, but Dana disquises it better with his promo's

There's actually no fights that are interesting to see in mma anyway
