Im Tryin Out Speed Licks On This Drum Solo-By Darrell Bacon

Well I wanted to test my endurance on speed so I tried to see if I can keep up with Buddy Rich but not even close.But I swear my heart was pounding after that and I wonder how Buddy at age 69 could keep up that crazy pace.He was an animal non stop.

Nice work, Darrell! I wouldn't obsess over Buddy, though. He spent practically his whole life on stage honing his chops and feel. His technique became so natural that his playing was as effortless as speaking. But with practice like this, you'll develop similarly. Just be sure to be YOU, and not try to be a Buddy clone. There was only one Buddy Rich. And there is only one Darrell Bacon, too. Find your own inner voice and style! (And expect it to be different from Buddy's.)
