@emilylovestvd Well, it's an alternate reality episode full of 'what ifs'. What if Meredith's mom was supportive, didn't have Alzheimer's & didn't die? Causing Mer to be bright & shinny, which leads to Webber still w/ Ellis-->Ellis becomes the Chief-->Webber didn't take 'Mandy' Bailey out of her shell--> Der&Addie still married-->Mer &Cris never become BFFs--> Mer not sleeping w/ George causing him not to meet Callie-->Callie & Owen married w/ 3 kids-->Cris & Arizona are now lonely & depressed

@Cardsforfree I don't think it's about people raising form the death. It actually makes sense. If Derek and Meredith weren't together, then Derek didn't take risks, like that surgery where the wife of the shooter died. That would mean the shooting wouldn't had taken place and Charles would be still alive.
