I'm using my iPod Touch to control Reason and Ableton Live, which are music creation software running on my Macbook Air. I'm controlling different types of instruments and synthesizer sounds on MIDI Fretboard's guitar and shamisen interfaces. It also has bass guitar, ukulele, sitar, and banjo interfaces.

If you play any fretboard instruments like the guitar and dislike piano keyboard controllers, then this app is a MUST HAVE.. I created it for one reason and that is to play every sound available on my computer on a familiar guitar interface. You will spend hours at a time playing with all the sounds available on the market.

Garageband which comes installed with every Mac has about 70 or so sounds to experiment with. You can purchase additional sound packs for more instruments. _World Music Pack is highly recommended.
