Brazil (0.756) is the most powerful South American country on the list thanks to available manpower and a capable navy. Japan (0.920) is a "sleeper" power that sneaks into the top ten with a good navy, strong logistical infrastructure and capital.

@greek365 that's because India buys most of its weaponry from other countries :D cos we are too lazy and too rich to do anything of ourselves XD (just kidding) ....this also strengthens diplomatic ties with other countries too ..India is simply a self sustaining country only 60 yrs of independence + too much corruption yet we have surpassed so many nations in terms of military and economic power :D
