I started watching the Midnite Rockers in the AWA and in all honesty I was always a Marty fan ! Not taking anything away from Shawn cause he is great too but in the beginning I saw Marty as the star !

He's as funny as Terry Funk. They never wanna say anything bad about anybody - but you can tell in their voice they aren't being terribly sincere which makes it hilarious. The storytellers make for the best interviews. Thanks, And peace out Marty.

Also, it's interesting to hear that British Bulldog refered to the Rockers' matches as midget matches. In later years, he'd lose more than one title to Shawn Michaels and would pretty much become his default opponent whenever he was a face. He must have been pinned by the "midget" at least four times.

Man, that part about the New Rockers was cold. Whether it was Shawn Michaels or it wasn't, that was a cut throat thing to do. They stuck him with the old name to show that being one of the Rockers was all that he was capable of, the stuck-in-the-80s gimmick was a deliberate attempt to make him look like old news, and then they fought his every attempt to get over.

Whoever was responsible, they really tried to make him look like nothing without Shawn Michaels. They really screwed him over.
