They are pompano, I like to use Doc's Goofy Jigs in pink and yellow with a teaser, just use a loop knot so the jig produces the deadly action that it's known for. Jig the lure and then allow it to hit the bottom. Usually you want to target jetties, bridges, beaches and areas with good water flow.
