This is Wardell. He is an 11 year old Brussels Griffon rescued in late 2009 from a puppy mill in Arkansas. We adopted him from the Washington Animal Rescue League in Washington DC in January 2010. He weighed 9 lbs when rescued and weighs 15 lbs now. This is his first Christmas ever outside of a cage in all of his 11 year life. Christmas day he enjoys laying in front of the fire.
His "new" family mean the world to him, it's obvious. Just like my first poodle Dilly, who had 4 homes in 4 years before I got him. It made us love him more, and we spoiled him rotten for the next 10 years!! He's a lucky little boy, and adorable, no wonder you love him so much!!

Isn't it the best feeling to see them enjoying scenes like this and realize the stark difference between that and where they just came from? We adopted our Griff Winston who had also been bred in a puppymill as well. Seeing him experience his first Christmas in a warm home with all the food and squeaky toys he could want just melted my heart.
