  • It's an Idling Russian Navy BEE aka T600 modem 50bd with 200Hz shift. Moscow has a number frequencies that carry broadcasts every 20 minutes. If there's no traffic, they just idle on reversals.

  • I heard this last night here in Australia about 10 minutes past the hour.

Odd that it only lasts for exactly 20 minutes...

  • That sounds almost exactly like PSK

  • the same thing is on 4032Khz LSB but seems to go on all the time !!!! its doing it right now : 02:28 25/July/2010

  • I read somewhere that ALE (Automatic Link Establishment) sounds "bubbly", kind of like this. I can't say for sure.

  • I listened to it a little more and i think it is a very very weak Spanish speaking radio station. I can only make out any type of voices if i have my radio set on WFM. It's a Yaesu ft 100D.

  • I hearing this very same sound right now ( 8.05pm) here in the western part of North Carolina on upper side band!
