  • Damn, that's a nice behaved cat :|

My cat bit me first, and then it took me almost 30 minutes to be able to stick HALF of the pill down her throat. It's almost impossible to hold her still. She jerks around like crazy

  • @bluekitteneyes Maybe talk to your veterinarian if there are alternative options such as a compounded liquid or transdermal gel:)

  • I tried to give my cat a pill. She was so upset she grabbed my arm, flipped me on the floor then put the pill in my mouth. She rubbed my throat and I was forced to swallow. Damn cat! The ironic part about it is I didn't realize until later that I had worms! The pill helped. Thanks VetVid!

  • @351cleavland lol...cats are smart and sneaky, but usually know what is best. :)

  • I have to give my cat prozac once a day. Ever since we moved a month ago, he will not eat his pill pockets. I try pilling him and he will NOT swallow. He will either push the pill over between his teeth and lips or he will wait until I release his jaw and then spit it out. I don't think prozac comes in a liquid. Any suggestions?

  • @riah851 Talk to your veterinarian about alternative med options or possibly compounding.

  • Yeah, right. What the hell was the cat in the vid doped up on? Ours just tried to rip our faces off and blasted us with putrid breath. No pilled cat, we lost.

  • Worked like a charm with all 4 cats! Thank you!!! We swaddled them tightly with a towel just in case, and I think it makes them feel less afraid, and followed up with plenty of petting & treats.

  • that cat was DRUGGED LOL!

  • thanks a lot!

  • Thank you for the video - the blanket trick was a tremendous success!

  • I quite surprised myself, but I just did this with great success! Thank you for the helpful video! :)

  • Well, our cat was usually healthy, but several times we had to give her a pill. The method was very simple and ordered by the vet: put apill in a small piece of food, and serve it in similar way it is done here - at least the cat doesn't associate pill with something weird/unpleasant. Then we'd stroke the cats throat (quite fast), so that she swallows several times. It always worked.
