i think you'll really enjoy Ano Hana. it's made by the same studio that made Toradora! It was really the most touching and dramatic anime I've ever seen.

Honestly I found the first half of Clannad rather dull, it wasn't until Afterstory that I fell in love with it, so I guess Toradora beats it on the favorite-o-meter.

I guess it's just another "Clannad" to me. It doesn't addict me after the first episode, I find them kinda boring

This show starts out so cheery, then, around episode 15, it suddenly rips out your heart, chops it up, glues it back together, mixes it in a blender, then pours it back into your open chest and tells you to be happy again.
That is why I love it.
