I'm really interested in hearing the same subsonic rounds, unsuppressed. Up here in canada we're not allowed to have suppressors, but I'm still intending to build a savage switch barrel .223/.300 whisper by spinning on a shilen rifle so that I can use heavy cast bullets at subsonic velocities. P.S. If you're so inclined, please check out my sawed off shotgun review (12 inch barrel)

little confused here. can this rifle cycle semi and full auto with both types of ammo. the heavy subsonic rounds and the lighter supersonic rounds? without adjustment. you know, on the fly?

The video is of the rifle being fired for the very first time with ammo hastily prepared the night before and a friends suppressor. The load fired would not feed the next cartridge, but it would eject and recock. Since then I have tested loads that will cycle just fine with both sub and super sonic. For subs, I use a standard weight buffer. For extended full power firing, a heavy buffer would be substituted.
I don't own a FA lower, but I imagine it would work fine.
