Travis Beaver's Big Crash at Hagerstown

Travis Beaver survived this wild crash at Hagerstown Speedway in 1987 notice his helmet flys off but the rollcage holds up. Thank Goodness. He did take a trip to the Hospital and was later released. That's his Dad in the checked shirt and shorts running to him.

Yea, I'm sure he just stuck the helmet on his head when he crawed in the car with the strap dangeling down , . It's to bad nobody noticed it . He must have fastened his seat belt though, or he might of flew out of the car. like his helmet did .

I do not Know if he returned to any kind of racing He may have. He competed in a hobby division and I think I would seek out a different hobby after a ride like that. I was working in the video booth calling the Race and I was sure he would not recover. It was scary to say the least.

it is hagerstown speedway... that track is a blast to race on, very fast!!!!
