Toy Story Mania Preview - Mr. Potato Head Jokes and Sings!

While waiting in line to ride Toy Story Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida, guests get to interact and be entertained by Mr. Potato Head who sings and talks with people as they pass him by in line. This is a short song "One Potato, Two Potato..." he sang while we passed. Also in this bit is some interaction with the guests as they pass, jokes and all. This was shot during a sneak preview prior to the ride officially opening at Walt Disney World in Florida.

How does the computer figure out with pre-recorded sniplets to play based on the guest interaction? Are there microphone sensors that can detect what the guests are saying or shouting and play different snippets accordingly based on what words the guests say, such as if the animatronic asks a yes or no question?
