Memoria del Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín. Poema escrito y leído en Medellín por el poeta hindú Surjit Patar, versión en hindi con traducción posterior en castellano.
Surjit Patar nació en la India en 1944. Además de haber publicado cinco libros de poesía y realizado dos series de televisión, una sobre la historia de la poesía penjabi y la otra sobre la música popular y la poesía penjabi, también ha adaptado ocho obras de teatro, entre ellas Bodas de Sangre de García Lorca. Actualmente trabaja como Profesor Adjunto de Penjabi en el Departamento de Periodismo, Idiomas y Cultura de la Universidad Agrícola del Penjabi en Ludhiana, India.
surjit singh patar es una poeta sikh, no hindu. La poema es en punjabi, no en hindi.

how heartening is to see the standing ovation at the end of the poem. this shows the rich cultural roots of Columbia and understanding of its citizen of poetry. just marvelous to see. surjit paatar is a living legend of Punjabi language. unfortunately his works have not yet been translated into other languages.

the event is called "International Poetry Festival of Medellín" (Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín) yeah the other guy was translating Surjit Patar's poetry in Spanish (Español)
It was in Medellín city, Medellín city is in Colombia (South América) that's why the translation in spanish
