This is a programming guide promised from my last video on the Wouxun KG-UVD1P. Hopefully this helps everyone who is having a hard time programming this radio. If you have any more questions, feel free to leave me a comment or message.

This *also* is the same method for the KG-UV2D and KG-UV3D UV2D UV3D.

  • What is the difference between the Wouxun KG-UVD1P, the Wouxun KG-UV2D ahe Wouxun KG-UV3D ?

  • @4256573 The outside case design. Otherwise they all run the same firmware and are all programmed exactly the same.

  • Seriously get a programming cable, but nice video great for the field.

  • @FossZombie I did get a programming cable. Certainly was easier to arrange frequencies and was easy to change PD and FD frequencies that I'm not allowed to transmit on, to offset to the amateur bands. That way if I accidentally transmit while listening to police or fire, it simply transmits on amateur simplex.

  • How fast is the scan? and how do you get it to scan? also how do u get uhf on the top of the display not on the bottom?

  • I can't see any differences.

  • I have a wouxun kg uvd1p :)

  • Do you now other options to use repeaters?

  • It did not work for me.

  • Good show but I still don't know how to switch from Frequency Mode to Standby Mode.

  • hey any software for out of band need it for work I have the kg-uv3d

  • I've been a Ham For 30 Plus Years and I bought this Radio 3 weeks ago and I have to say it's one of the easiest dual banders I've ever used just remember your Menu and TDR buttoms in combo switch Channel to Freq mode also Dual Watch then remember the menu and the # menu select menu confirm exit. makes it even easier to program if you remember the menu #'s . I never owed a Japanese made Radio that was this easy to use
