Mitt Romney said he likes "being able to fire people" who do not provide good service. Romney was speaking about health insurance companies at a campaign stop in Nashua, New Hampshire Monday.
I could tell this was a bogus soundbite the second the "story" hit the presses. Obviously, ANYONE would prefer to have the ability to fire someone for doing a lousy job. Now, I'm a liberal and I still despise Romney for his job killing, corporate raider past, and I'm none too thrilled at the idea of a mormon being president. But I'm still willing to call bullshit on the media for something trifling like this.
I'm a proud progressive and am glad to see this quote in context. I think Romney has invested in the false notion that corporate profit should determine national policy, but I will say that this instance he has been taken wildly out of context.
The whole buzz is ludicrous. By no means am I a Republican (not even American as a matter of fact), but this is a typical example of American media bullshit.
The republicans think that their christian right wing nut base is going to vote for some weirdo cult member like Romney? Do you know what mormons believe? God is a space alien and men who die in grace with their church each get a planet with a thousand virgins to fuck, just like the islamics. women aren't allowed in the holy part of the "temples" because they aren't as good as men, just like the islamics. All Romney will do is split enough voters off of Ron Paul to make sure Obama wins again
Well, this is the first I've heard the whole comment and it shows Mitt Romney is saying what every customer wants, good service, and if you don't get it, fire the people. About time someone shows the truth.
This video is good because it shows the whole context. TV cable news hasn't been so generous. I suggest we spread this video around so people see the truth.
he was talking about the insurence company
