A brief tribute to British comedian Arthur Lucan, better known as "Old Mother Riley." Born Arthur Towle in 1885, Lucan became a professional entertainer as a teenager and was working in films and on the stage until his death in 1954. For all but his final movie--"Old Mother Riley Meets the Vampire," aka "My Son the Vampire" and "Vampire Over London" (with Bela Lugosi)--Lucan's co-star was his real-life wife, Kitty McShane (who played his daughter in their act).

I remember seeing 'My Son the Vampire' in the mid 80's and just about dying of laughter. I'd give my right foot to find the songs from that flick.
Great stuff!

All of the prints I have seen of "My Son the Vampire" had the song(s) cut out. There WAS one of these songs on Youtube but it now seems to be gone. If I can find it, I will upload it.
