I'm so glad we finally have a definitive answer with a date. Someone came on and said he was deceased and said it was due to drugs and alcohol. Damn, I hate that! A great singer. Heaven has a hell of a choir!! Sam, Marvin, Eddie, David, Gerald, Michael, Bert ..... who gets the mic 1st???!!!

Yeah your'e right..Heaven has one heck of a choir! Bert didn't make enough albums, A waste of talent at the moment is Omar Chandler and Rodney Mannsfield both only having 2 albums in 2 decades!! Come on guys your'e awesome!

Good news is that Keith Washington has a new CD coming out within a year. Lets hope it's as good as 'Make Time For Love' and 'You Make It Easy'. I pray it's not all this thrown together cheap mainstream rubbish with rappers spoiling every track.

I feel you on that with the rappers; sometimes it works and sometimes it is just following the trends. I haven't heard about Omar Chandler in a minute. He won the amature night on the Appollo and sang the hook on Rob Base's "Joy and Pain" and then he was gone. I've never heard of Rodney Mannsfield, but if he's in Bert's league, he's off the chain! Man, I miss this man's voice ..... it's SO NICE!!

Check out Michael Speaks. I've just discovered him. He's on youtube I think I've saved a Live performance in my Favourites of him doing a Duet with Anita Howard called 'You Dont Have To Cry' He will blow you away. Again only 2 CD's. Just a waste.. ;( Let me know what you think of Michael Speaks on that Live Performance.

I knew Bert in Denver back when we sang in the Heritage Gospel choir..lived with him and his wife and sons for a short time..we drove to Detroit and Chicago back to Denver in Feb of 95...
