Balenciaga is only a 2nd level name in the history of fashion , his importance into it is near to zero , his creativity was not even 1% of that owned by each one of undermentioned designers, and not even 10% of many other fashion designers since 60s to present time ....!! ;-)
Balenciaga ripped off French Empire style but he did nothing more than that !!

@Dodi9914 I totally agree , Giorgio Armani can be truly named the God of fashion, the most genial and creative of all stylists, the one Maestro of all stylists .
His spectacular taste, sensibility and art has ever been equalized by no fashion designer else . I put behind him even such myths as Valentino, Versace, Cardin and G. Ferrè , who are the Top 5 ever of fashion designers.
Giorgio Armani = the King, the best ever .
