Born out of ashes to ashes
This story of mine is tragic
But it will never be told on a history book
To build a character, 5 years is what it took

Before you can score you must have a goal
And mine is to simply help change the world
Wishful thinking i know But that is my endeavour
What was hard to bear will be sweet to remember

And i remember every time that i fell
Got up and kept racing towards the light breaking
Problems kept facing, so far im winning
But i know destiny has a loss for me waiting

And how will i take it, good or bad?
Best thing to do is accept and let it slide
Put it all behind, keep walking my path
With the few friends i know that will always have my back

Hot summers and cold winters
Working hard through it all just to write singles
For albums that will never see the light of day
Night Light, City of Zen, they never went all the way

But now here it is, here they are
The album that i struggled to sing with all my heart
And will anyone listen? Can they see the vision
That i see when i recite these poems, its such a mission

To get heard. Cause i think people have it twisted
I dont want fame or fortune, i dont treat this like a business
It is what it is, rhythm and poetry
So wherever you are get up and come with me
