How to clear out a Failure to Eject, Extract or Double Feed or Malfunctions with the AR-15. Don't practice this at home, only at a range. The end result is to have a loaded weapon. So only do this at a range. A great video on what has caused the malfunction and also how to fix it. These are great videos to watch, write down and take this training to your range. @jdmSRT you could insert a bad mag, or bad round from a mag. but, since the last "rack" is a release of the bolt via the charging handle you should see the charging handle re-seat without stopping short, then there's a very high likelihood you just chambered a good round. you can't super-tripple-quadruple check everything :)

Is there any chance that after you "RACK, RACK, RACK" than quickly insert a mag that is can cause another malfunction? I am just wondering because I noticed after you "RACK, RACK, RACK" you didn't look to verify it was clear. Obviously it did clear properly and it would take about a second or two longer to verify but I just want to know for sure skipping that verification is good-to-go. Thank you for this vid it really helped me learn

What about the use of dummy rounds for dry fire practice in the home? I use them, I just make absolutely sure that there is no live ammunition in the room where I am doing my dry fire drills! I use them for my malfunction drills and for tac reload drills. Speed reloads I just use empty mags for.
